Glazer family prove just how invested they are in NFL team compared to Man Utd

Manchester United's owners, the Glazers, showed their fans just how much more they care about their NFL franchise over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, the Glazers' NFL team – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – headed to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers as they looked to maintain their first-placed lead in the NFC South ahead of the New Orleans Saints.

And against the Packers, the Buccaneers put in an impressive performance, particularly on offence. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was near perfect on the day, completing 22 of 28 passes for 381 yards and four touchdowns as Tampa Bay defeated the Packers at home 34-20.

With the play-offs edging ever closer, Tampa Bay moved to 7-7 on the season. And after the game, who else was there to greet coach Todd Bowles and his players at Lambeau than Bryan, Joel and Avram Glazer. Footage surfaced on social media of the trio of Tampa Bay owners shaking the hands of every single player, as well as giving Bowles a hearty hug too.

And the interaction between Bowles and the Glazers could not seem more stark to how the American trio have handled their ownership of United lately, with most, if not all fans at Old Trafford keen to see the back of them.

Will the Glazer's ever sell Manchester United? Let us know in the comments section below.

Across the pond away from Tampa Bay, it looks as though their 'sporting control' of the Premier League side looks to be coming to a close with the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who will assume control of football operations at Old Trafford, the Glazers will still ultimately own United.

INEOS billionaire Ratcliffe had hoped to buy the club outright previously, but has now since settled for a 25% stake in the club after the Glazers refused to sell up to Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim.

While the Buccaneers know that if they win their final three games, they will win their division and make the play-offs, life at Old Trafford in comparison of late has been as chaotic as ever. On Sunday, Erik ten Hag's side played out a 0-0 draw against arch-rivals Liverpool at Anfield, a result which was a real rare positive in a bleak period.

Prior to that, they were dumped out of the Champions League and Europe entirely by Bayern Munich and Harry Kane. And they also suffered a demoralising loss to Bournemouth, who dismantled Ten Hag's side 3-0 a week ago. Up next for the Red Devils is another daunting trip, this time to east London to take on in-form West Ham, who will leapfrog them if they win.
