Shearer calls son ‘stupid b***** idiot’ after receiving clip of him in Milan

Alan Shearer has joked his son is a "b***** idiot" after he received a video of him goading AC Milan fans during Newcastle's return to the Champions League.

The Magpies made their return to Europe's top competition on Tuesday evening, when they travelled to the San Siro to clash with Milan. And Newcastle fans certainly enjoyed their trip to Italy, with Shearer's son one of those to make the trip.

However, instead of heading straight to find a bar before the game, Shearer's son made his way to the official Milan hotel. And in a clip that has since made its way to his dad, he can been seen goading Milan fans in his Newcastle shirt.

"I said to my son as I always do when he goes to away games, ‘just don’t do anything stupid, be sensible, go and have a laugh with your mates and enjoy the atmosphere'," Shearer told The Rest Is Football podcast.

"His mate sent me a video, they were outside of the Milan players' hotel, all the Milan players were coming out and getting onto the bus ready to go to the game. You can imagine there are 700-800 Milan fans.

"There’s my stupid f***ing son with his Newcastle shirt on. Him and his three mates. I said: ‘What on earth are you playing at? I told you to just be sensible’. My god honestly. He’s 23 the b***** idiot. He was fine, he had a great time."

It wasn't a vintage performance from Eddie Howe's side in the week, but the Magpies took home a point after a bore draw at the San Siro.
