Rasmus Hojlund ‘lookalike’ horrifies Man Utd fans after sharing team he supports

An Australian singer who football fans have likened to misfiring Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund in a viral meme has revealed he actually supports Liverpool.

Sean Millis, 22, took the internet by storm after starring on the latest season of Australia's version of The Voice. He melted hearts with a rendition of Luke Graham's 2015 hit '7 Years' and won legions of fans after opening up about his ongoing battle with Hunter syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.

Football fans have now taken to posting a clip from the video for his song 'Waiting On a Miracle' and comparing him to Hojlund – who extended his scoreless run in the Premier League to 13 games after drawing yet another blank in United's 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. But as it turns out, Millis will have been pleased his supposed doppelganger came up short and missed a big chance – after admitting to followers he is a fan of Jurgen Klopp's team.

The singer was asked on social media about the meme and even whether he wants under-fire Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag to be sacked. He said: "I think he's the coach of the soccer player who looks like me. Basically the guy didn't score today against Liverpool and they posted my song on Twitter."

He then told fans: "I don't go for Manchester United that's what makes [comparisons to Rasmus Hojlund] really sad." The vocalist added: "I go for Liverpool."

How many goals would Sean Millis score for Man Utd this season if he replaced Rasmus Hojlund up front? Let us know in the comments section below.

In response, one Reds supporters joked: "Always rated that Hojlund, me." Another wrote: "Shows how big Liverpool are that Man Utd's number one striker is admitting he's a Kopite." A shocked United fan jokingly posted: "He's a Judas!" But another was more charitable, saying: "Big him up still because that song is quite cold and genuinely sounds like it should be on the FIFA soundtrack."

Millis has almost a million followers across all of the major social media platforms, but his health condition prevents him from living the lifestyle of a successful singer. Every week, he has to endure nine hours of treatment at the hospital, something he described as "draining".

"I have to go once a week for the rest of my life," Sean told Australian outlet TV WEEK. "It's a long day, and that's why I'm so close with the nurses. I just wanted to make them and my family proud through this experience."

Hojlund, 20, scored five times during United's ill-fated Champions League campaign, but is yet to register a single goal or assist in the league since his summer move from Atalanta to Old Trafford.
