K-Pop girl group turn up in Rangers kit for Texas performance as fans baffled

K-Pop girl group STAYC stunned concert-goers by seemingly mistakenly donning the kit of Scottish Premiership side Rangers while in the States.

The South Korean six-piece are attempting to break America after achieving success in their home country and Japan. Their latest EP, Teenfresh, was widely acclaimed and is also the title of their new world tour this year as they embarked on a trip to Texas for one of their popular concerts.

Upon their gig in Dallas, the group attempted to warm to the crowd by sporting the jersey of one of the sport franchises in the Lone Star State. But unfortunately for the girls, a major gaffe was made as instead of wearing the jerseys of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers, they instead wore the kit of Scottish football side, Rangers.

The retro kits of The Gers may not have gone down a treat with their Texas fans but it certainly brought them a new audience in Scotland with punters appreciative of the girl band rocking the low-cut versions of the kit.

Rangers fans on social media displayed their new-found support of STAYC as one fan wrote: "Ok, I will buy all their albums" while another commented: "Always loved STAYC every since I seen this post".

The blunder may have miraculously worked out for them as a third fan on X wrote: "Go on then, Get me a STAYC calendar for Christmas" but a fourth user was more focused one of the members wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey with former player Ezekiel Elliot's name on the back as they said: "And they got Elliot Cowboys jerseys and he doesn’t even play for them anymore".

The hilarious kit gaffe was a welcome distraction for Rangers fans whose club sits seven points adrift of bitter rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. While the club have won six of their opening nine league games, it wasn't enough for Michael Beale to keep his job as the Englishman was sacked earlier this month as Philippe Clement was appointed permanent boss last week.
