Christmas appears to have come early for Inter Milan playmaker Davy Klaassen.

The Netherlands international raised a few eyebrows on Sunday when he was sighted making a cameo appearance during a 2-0 win over Lazio. And it's not only brow hairs he seems to have uprooted after unearthing a healthy new mop as well.

Klaassen, 30, has in fact been spotted sporting a little more decoration up top for a number of weeks. But it's only now the miracle growth appears to be fulfilling its potential after reaching new heights with his outing at the Stadio Olimpico.

His brief appearance off the bench in Rome was the first time he's appeared in Serie A since a similar cameo against Torino on October 21. And fans reacted online with a mix of amazement and sheer incredulity.

"Less stress after he left Ajax," wrote one fan in reference to the Dutch giant's struggles this season. "Man took a vacation in Turkey," commented another.

"[Erik] Ten Hag's son, Davy Klaassen," wrote a third. "Where did he get the hair from?" And some simply refused to believe it was the same person, with one replying: "That's not Davy Klaassen."

Everton supporters may remember the Dutchman for his failed one-season spell at Goodison, joining the club in 2017 for around £24million before leaving 12 months later for half that sum. The puppeteer was signed by compatriot Ronald Koeman but struggled to fulfil his potential on Merseyside after the Barcelona icon was fired only a few months later.

Regardless of how the player tracked down his new trim, the consensus online suggests the new look has gone down as a win. And Inter's form on the field is likely to have helped, with his current club now four points clear at the top of Serie A after Juventus dropped points at Genoa.

That's likely to come in handy when it comes to keeping stress levels low as the season progresses. And Klaassen will have a chance at more silverware as Inter also line up in the last 16 of the Champions League.
