Sky Sports have agreed a bumper new contract with the Premier League which will see the broadcaster show 215 matches a season for four years.

As part of a £6.7billion TV rights deal, which will begin in the 2025/26 season, Sky will broadcast at least four matches every week. TNT Sports will show 52 matches per season while Amazon have lost their games package.

To mark the news, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher shared a mocked-up poster of himself and Gary Neville from the film Dumb and Dumber. The Liverpool legend posted: "Another four years with this [clown emoji]."

The membership gives access to all the perks of Amazon Prime (including free Premium and Same- Day Delivery in selected residential postcodes, and other benefits) plus the full library of content available through Prime Video.

Prime also offers a discounted membership, Prime Student for higher education students.

You can also sign-up for Prime Video on its own for £5.99 per month, however, you won’t get the other benefits that come with Prime — like free One-Day Delivery and Same-Day Delivery on eligible orders and fast grocery delivery and pickup.

Of those 215 matches, Sky said more than 140 will be played at weekends, including Friday and Monday nights. Sky will also have full coverage of three midweek rounds. For the first time, Sky will broadcast all 10 games on the final day of each season.

Sky will also get the first pick of the weekend matches while retaining the 4.30pm Super Sunday slot. The broadcaster will also show multiple matches at 2pm on Sundays live, a particularly busy slot after midweek European action. Boxing Day Premier League football will also return to the Sky. It is currently in the hands of Amazon.

TNT’s deal means it retains the 12.30pm Saturday slot and full coverage of two midweek match rounds. For the first time, all matches outside of those scheduled for 3pm Saturday will be screened live. Match of the Day remains the home for highlights of all 380 Premier League matches for the four seasons of the new cycle.

The Premier League’s chief executive Richard Masters said: “We are delighted to announce new deals with Sky Sports and TNT Sports that will extend our partnership for a further four years and see more Premier League matches than ever before shown live from 2025/26 onwards.

“As long-standing and valued partners, Sky Sports and TNT Sports are renowned for consistently delivering world-class coverage and programming.
