Football supporters hilariously reacted to Arabic commentary of Amadou Onana’s shocking penalty against Fulham in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash.

The Toffees were eliminated from the competition via penalties after Michael Keane’s own goal initially put the visitors in control before Beto equalised in the 82nd-minute.

Everton lost the resulting shootout despite taking an early lead and Onana’s penalty miss was the worst of the lot as his effort was easily saved.

The 22-year-old midfielder tried to wrong-foot Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno as he deployed a similar hop-skip-and-jump run-up style to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

Instead of celebrating, he watched his tame effort roll into the arms of Leno who took a half-step to his right before gathering Onana’s shot into his arms.

However, while the disappointing spot-kick left much to the imagination, the Saudi commentary of the torrid effort didn’t.

The commentator covering the Everton star’s penalty said just one word throughout the shootout, stating Onana’s name as ‘Ohhh na-na-na’ over and over again.

The pronunciation and emotions behind Onana’s shot changed as the Belgium international’s effort went from optimism to dismay.

Initial commentary was positive before turning to cries of amazement as Everton missed the chance to win the penalty shootout and a place in the League Cup semi-final.
