Kevin De Bruyne’s home in Belgium was reportedly trashed by burglars during a break-in on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The Manchester City star, his wife Michele and their three children were not at the property at the time of the raid.<\/p>\n
Belgian news outlet HLN said items had been taken but no further details were available. The burglars used a stepladder to reach the first floor of the property in Bolderberg, Heusden-Zolder.<\/p>\n
De Bruyne, 32, bought the 70-acre property in 2015 and built a villa made of natural white stone, which was completed in February 2019.<\/p>\n
The house features a swimming pool, jacuzzi and basketball court.<\/p>\n

De Bruyne and his City team-mates flew off to Saudi Arabia for the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday evening after their 2-2 Premier League draw with Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n
HLN said the De Bruyne family only use the property sporadically when they visit Belgium, spending most of their time in Wilmslow, Cheshire.<\/p>\n
The midfielder missed Saturday’s match with a hamstring injury but watched on from the stands at the Etihad Stadium.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But he was part of Pep Guardiola’s 23-man squad that departed to the Middle-East for the Club World Cup on Saturday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
City play the Japanese side Urawa Reds in their semi-final on Tuesday and it remains to be seen whether he is fit enough to play any part.<\/p>\n
De Bruyne played in the FA Community Shield against Arsenal at the beginning of the season before being forced off in City’s Premier League opener against Burnley.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The hamstring issue required surgery and De Bruyne is only now closing in on a return to action.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He said over the weekend:\u00a0‘It’s going really well. I had surgery \u2013 it was a big injury. But we’re getting closer \u2013 closer to the new year [his original return date].\u00a0<\/p>\n
