Manchester United are eyeing up a potential January move for RB Leizpig forward Lois Openda, according to reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Erik ten Hag’s side are in search of attacking reinforcements during the winter transfer window, after a less than impressive start to the 2023-24 campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Red Devils suffered their fourth Premier League defeat at Old Trafford on Saturday, as they failed to find the back of the net in a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In response to their struggles in front of goal, according to The Mirror, the Red Devils have sounded out a potential move for Belgian forward Openda.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old has scored 14 goals in 21 games for Leipzig since his \u00a335 million move from French side RC Lens last summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two of those goals came during Leipzig’s 3-2 defeat against United’s rivals Manchester City during the Champions League group stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The outlet claim that a senior United scout reported back to boss ten Hag about Openda\u2019s dazzling display at the Etihad and it\u2019s believed the club have made him a serious target.<\/p>\n
However, it’s also reported that league rivals Tottenham are keen on the Belgian international amid the ongoing struggles for Brazilian forward Richarlison.\u00a0<\/p>\n
United will be keen to bolster their front-line after their struggles in front of goal this year, which was highlighted in their disappointing defeat to the Cherries.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The loss means that ten Hag’s side have now suffered more defeats at home since Ferguson left the club, than the legendary manager suffered in his 27-year spell in charge of the Red Devils, according to Squawka.\u00a0<\/p>\n
