Thomas Tuchel has claimed that Bayern Munich ‘need a reaction’ heading into their clash with Manchester United, after suffering defeat in the Bundesliga.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The German champions were handed dealt their first league loss in the 2023-24 campaign in the form of a 5-1 thrashing by Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The result sees Tuchel’s side lose ground on league leaders Bayer Leverkusen – who now hold a three point advantage at the summit of the Bundesliga table.<\/p>\n
And, following the match, two of Bayern’s key members have called for a response ahead of their Champions League clash with united on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
According to SPORT1, manager Tuchel said:\u00a0‘We underestimated the danger of the situation and completely gave the game away very early on.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, central midfielder Leon Goretzka echoed the thoughts of the Bayern first-team boss, as he issued a rallying cry to his team-mates.<\/p>\n
‘That’s the beauty of football,’ he said, according to Sport Studio. ‘Things go quickly. For us on Tuesday it’s about showing a reaction.\u00a0<\/p>\n
That’s our focus now. Now it’s time to regenerate for two days and show a different face on Tuesday and gain self-confidence’.<\/p>\n
United will be looking for a reaction themselves after suffering a disappointing 3-0 defeat at home against Bournemouth on Satuday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Erik ten Hag’s side suffered the disappointing Premier League defeat after goals from Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi struck for the visitors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The defeat saw United set an unwanted home record in the top-flight, as they suffered their fourth home defeat in the league during the 2023-24 campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n Afterwards,\u00a0ten Hag accepted the blame for Manchester United\u2019s latest shocking defeat, and admitted his players are not good enough to perform on a consistent basis.<\/p>\n United lost for the 11th time in 23 games this season, as Bournemouth ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at a stunned Old Trafford.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n United suffered a 4-3 defeat when they visited the Allianz Arena back in September<\/p>\n <\/p>\n United will also be looking to bounce back after their 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday\u00a0<\/p>\n \u2018I think we have to always be ready for the game, and so I have to take the responsibility for that,\u2019 the United manager said.<\/p>\n \u2018I have to prepare the team so they are ready for the game.
