The former England captain had reportedly been offered an &apos;International Ambassador&apos; role if Jassim&apos;s bid had been successful.<\/p>\n<p>However, he withdrew from negotiations as Brit billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe closes in on a \u00a31.3billion deal to buy a 25% stake in United.
