{"id":301726,"date":"2023-12-07T17:26:10","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T17:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/?p=301726"},"modified":"2023-12-07T17:26:10","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T17:26:10","slug":"levi-colwill-claims-var-has-something-against-me-right-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/soccer\/levi-colwill-claims-var-has-something-against-me-right-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Levi Colwill claims &apos;VAR has something against me right now&apos;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1> Levi Colwill claims &#8216;VAR has something against me right now&#8217; after insisting he was denied a foul in the build up to Scott McTominay&#8217;s winner in &#8216;frustrating&#8217; 2-1 defeat to Man United<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Defender Levi Colwill believes Chelsea should have been awarded a foul by VAR<\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>They have won two, drawn one and lost two in five games in a struggle for form\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mauricio Pochettino has so much to do with woeful Chelsea &#8211; It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chelsea star Levi Colwill believe that VAR has an agenda against him, after feeling aggrieved not to have been awarded a foul against Manchester United in Wednesday&#8217;s 2-1 defeat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Blues were beaten by Man United in the Premier League, with Scott McTominay striking either side of a Cole Palmer goal to continue Chelsea&#8217;s 10-year wait for a win at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n<p>United had been awarded a penalty in the first half, with Robert Sanchez not fooled by Bruno Fernandes&#8217; awful attempt, saving the spot kick to keep his side level after just nine minutes of action.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Colwill was attempting to prevent McTominay from scoring the winning goal in what was a poor performance from the visitors when he felt a pull from the Scot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, nothing was awarded, and Colwill even went as far as suggesting that had the tables been turned, a spot kick would have been given against him.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/07\/16\/78700447-0-image-a-23_1701967279726.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Levi Colwill believes he should have been given a foul in the build up to Scott McTominay&#8217;s winner<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/07\/16\/78700705-0-image-a-32_1701967552752.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The former Brighton loanee felt he had been pulled by McTominay and suggested had the tables been turned a penalty would have been given<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;VAR has something against me right now, I don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;ve done to them,&#8217; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Against Brighton they tried to give a pen, and then when I got pulled [by McTominay] they didn&#8217;t give anything. If I had pulled him like that they would have given a penalty. It is what it is.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It was a frustrating night. We had chances that if we&#8217;d taken would have made the game quite different, but it&#8217;s part of the game and we&#8217;ll move on from it come the weekend against Everton.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea were below par against the Red Devils as their own inconsistencies continue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Having impressed in the thrilling 4-4 draw with Manchester City in November, they were thumped by a brilliant Newcastle side the following game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the United clash they had then looked to bounce back with a 3-2 win over Brighton, but Mauricio Pochettino&#8217;s side were once again beaten on Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Blues still have six games to play before the start of 2024, including a mouth-watering Carabao Cup quarter-final against Newcastle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And although Colwill admitted that his side have struggled to put a consistent run of games together, but called for his team-mates to &#8216;improve quickly&#8217; in the busy festive period.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/07\/16\/78700459-0-image-a-24_1701967284003.jpg\" height=\"405\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Scottish midfielder scored twice in the game to give the Red Devils an important home win<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/07\/16\/78700469-0-image-a-27_1701967301898.jpg\" height=\"465\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mauricio Pochettino&#8217;s side have struggled for form, losing two and winning two of their last five games<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We are trying to improve as quickly as possible. We need to be more consistent. Inconsistency can happen to any team, however long you\u2019ve been together or had your manager.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It is a transitional phase, but we can\u2019t keep saying that. We have to improve quickly, start winning games and playing our football every single game instead of just every now and then.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We can do anything we want.
