Football fans were left baffled during Luton Town’s clash against Arsenal on Tuesday evening after a former BBC reality TV star was spotted sitting on the Hatters bench.

Luton were beaten 4-3 by the Gunners in an entertaining Premier League clash at Kenilworth Road as Declan Rice netted a late stoppage time winner to break the hearts of the newly-promoted side.

Gabriel Martinelli had opened the scoring for Arsenal before Gabriel Osho equalised. Gabriel Jesus put the away side ahead again before Elijah Adebayo got the Hatters level once more.

Ross Barkley than put them 3-2 ahead thanks to David Raya’s mistake before Kai Havertz nodded in yet another equaliser – before Rice’s stunning late heroics.

However, despite an enthralling encounter one of the main talking points among fans was a surprise figure sitting in the Luton dugout.

He initially trained as a GP before moving into TV as fans recognised him for featuring on the show.

The Traitors aired last November and saw 22 strangers move into a castle in the Scottish Highlands hoping to win a cash prize of £120,000.

Dr Ogunkoya, who has done a number of TV health segments on shows like This Morning, recently spoke of his rise up to becoming a high-profile doctor as he became the youngest first team doctor in the Premier League.

‘I knew [working in sports] was an option, but it became more apparent that it was actually doable and that the path to being with a top team was achievable,’ he told the Royal College of General Practitioners.

‘I think about it like this – there are few doctors in general and few doctors and sports scientists. I was experienced and had further qualifications, and few doctors have experience in football, so once you get those steps in, it becomes more likely.

‘I didn’t think I’d be in the Premier League this quickly, but it was always part of the plan.’
