The last time the Red Devils failed to finish inside the European places was during the 2013\/2014 campaign when the then-reigning Premier League champions fell to a seventh-place finish under David Moyes.<\/p>\n<p>In the modern day, a seventh-place spot will qualify Prem sides for Europa Conference League football the following season but many supporters don&#8217;t think Erik ten Hag&#8217;s men will even achieve that. 6,244 of the 15,720 readers who voted in our poll said that Man Utd won&#8217;t be playing in Europe whatsoever next year.<\/p>\n<p>This came out as the most popular response ahead of Europa League football with 4,876 votes, Europa Conference League football with 2,530 votes and Champions League football 2,070 votes. The poll results speak volumes about the lack of confidence in Ten Hag and Man Utd right now.<\/p>\n<p>United find themselves in sixth place in England&#8217;s top flight at the time of writing having lost five of their opening 12 league games while they are also sitting rock bottom of their Champions League group with only one win from four.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/67\/590x\/secondary\/Erik-ten-Hag-David-Moyes-5079108.jpg?r=1700652863699\"><\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s not just on the pitch where it&#8217;s all going wrong. Ten Hag\u00a0is said to be facing resistance from his own dressing room over his treatment of certain players. According to multiple reports, some\u00a0cliques have developed in the wake of unwanted off-field situations involving Jadon Sancho, Antony and Mason Greenwood.<\/p>\n<p>Some players reportedly want Sancho to be recalled to first-team training after a social media bust-up with his manager, while others would like to see Antony dropped from the squad. The Red Devils&#8217; board are understood to be delaying any such decision until they have voted on Sir Jim Ratcliffe&#8217;s bid for a 25 per cent stake in the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Providing Ratcliffe&#8217;s deal is given the green light he is expected to take over the footballing operations at Old Trafford.\u00a0John Murtough&#8217;s role as football director has come under threat with Ratcliffe&#8217;s INEOS team reportedly looking at replacements.
