Novak Djokovic won his seventh ATP Finals title last night with a dominant win over Jannik Sinner, who had beaten the Serb earlier in the tournament. Djokovic cruised to a 6-3 6-3 victory in Turin as he added yet another milestone to his incredible career at the expense of his Italian rival.

Djokovic produced a near-faultless opening set before retaining control in the second to dispatch Sinner, who fought hard but was simply unable to lay a glove on his opposite number. The former now stands alone having won the title seven times, beating the record of six titles he previously shared with Roger Federer.

After the match, Djokovic wasted no time in raising the bar as he outlined his plan to win a Golden Slam next year, saying: “You can win four Slams and Olympic gold, let’s see. I have always the highest ambitions and goals. That’s not going to be different for the next year, that’s for sure.

“The drive that I have is still there. My body has been serving me well, listening to me well. I have a great team of people around me.”
