UFC president Dana White\u00a0has announced they will be hosting the ‘greatest live combat sports show’ at the Las Vegas Sphere\u00a0on Mexican Independence Day.<\/span><\/p>\n White could not contain his excitement when talking about the deal at UFC 295, claiming he’s ‘loved every second’ of the ‘challenging’ process.<\/p>\n White – who tried to stage a fight between\u00a0Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg at the\u00a0Colosseum in Italy – told reporters he was ‘super excited’ about the September bout.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘Mexican Independence Day, we are booked for the Sphere,’ White said at the UFC 295 post-fight press conference.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘It is a massive challenge, and I love every minute of it. I’m super excited about this. I love challenges. I’m gonna put on the greatest live combat sports show everyone has ever seen.’<\/p>\n <\/p>\n UFC president Dana White confirmed a Mexican Independence Day card at Las Vegas’ Sphere\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sphere opened in September 2023 and is owned by the Madison Square Garden Company<\/p>\n White mentioned how his relationship with Madison Square Garden Company chief James Dolan played a role in booking the event.<\/p>\n ‘I have a great relationship with Dolan,’ The UFC chief added. ‘I’ve been terrorizing him about the Sphere, and we got it done.’<\/p>\n Sphere opened outside Las Vegas in September. Aside from its unique shape, Sphere features a wraparound internal LED screen that takes visuals to the next level.<\/p>\n The first-of-its-kind venue currently hosts the ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live’ concert series – which runs until February 2024.<\/p>\n The UFC has held the majority of its cards in Las Vegas since its first event at the MGM Grand Arena in 2001.<\/p>\n The UFC has since opened a Performance Institute and the UFC Apex, planting their roots deeper in Nevada.<\/p>\n Following UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, the UFC will head back to the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for UFC 296.\u00a0<\/p>\n The last pay-per-view of the year will happen on December 16 and feature the welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington.<\/p>\n
