Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he expects England’s Jude Bellingham\u00a0to withdraw from international duty and return to Spain.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 20-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder during Los Blancos 0-0 draw with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga last Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ancelotti initially expected his star midfielder to be available for Real Madrid’s game against Valencia this weekend.<\/p>\n
Speaking after the game the Madrid manager disclosed that he expects Bellingham to return to the Spanish capital after getting his injury looked at by England’s medical staff.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ancelotti did confirm Bellingham would travel home in order to be assessed by England’s doctors, but said he should not play.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0‘If he didn’t play today, he can’t play with England. He has to do specific work to strengthen his shoulder and he will do that in the coming weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘After the international break I think he will be able to play again.’<\/p>\n
‘I think he will be back because he won’t play with them (England) either’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The news also comes after James Maddison was forced to withdraw from the squad following an ankle injury sustained during Tottenham’s 4-1 loss to rivals Chelsea.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate picked Bellingham in his squad that is set to take on Malta and North Macedonia in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
With England already qualified for the tournament in Germany after a convincing 3-1 win over Italy, Southgate may choose to rest Bellingham.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However England are still looking to secure one of the top six seeds for the tournament, so will undoubtedly field a decent outfit for both games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
