{"id":298426,"date":"2023-11-06T12:24:45","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T12:24:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/?p=298426"},"modified":"2023-11-06T12:24:45","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T12:24:45","slug":"rashford-hits-out-at-man-united-fan-channel-over-malicious-rumours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/soccer\/rashford-hits-out-at-man-united-fan-channel-over-malicious-rumours\/","title":{"rendered":"Rashford hits out at Man United fan channel over &apos;malicious rumours&apos;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Marcus Rashford tells Man United fan channel to &#8216;STOP spreading malicious rumours&#8217; in response to video asking whether the forward&#8217;s Old Trafford future was &#8216;in doubt&#8217;<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The United Stand posted a video with the title &#8216;Rashford&#8217;s future in doubt?&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Rashford responded on social media asking them to stop spreading rumours\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s podcast &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off!&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Marcus Rashford has told a Manchester United fan channel to &#8216;stop spreading malicious rumours&#8217; in a response to a video which is titled questioning whether his Old Trafford future is in doubt.<\/p>\n<p>The England forward &#8211; who scored 30 goals last season &#8211; has suffered so far this campaign, netting just one goal in 14 appearances across all competitions.<\/p>\n<p>His form has come under questioning from fans, with questioning over whether the 26-year-old should be dropped from Erik ten Hag&#8217;s starting line-up.<\/p>\n<p>Well known fan channel The United Stand, has added to the questioning, with a video published on Monday titled: &#8216;Rashford&#8217;s future in doubt?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Rashford has not taken well to the video, hitting back in a reply on social media platform X.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/11\/77454541-12715411-image-a-10_1699270948387.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Marcus Rashford has hit out at fan channel The United Stand over a video titled: &#8216;Rashford&#8217;s future in doubt?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/12\/77455507-12715411-image-a-27_1699272693279.jpg\" height=\"491\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/11\/77454881-12715411-image-a-11_1699271716500.jpg\" height=\"161\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>He told the fan channel to &#8216;STOP spreading malicious rumours&#8217; in a post on social media<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>The England international wrote: &#8216;Please STOP spreading malicious rumours.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In a description of their video on YouTube, the United Stand wrote: &#8216;Given Rashford&#8217;s injury against Fulham and his recent subpar performances, the question arises: should he still be a regular starter for Manchester United.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Rashford was recently criticised by manager Ten Hag after visiting a nightclub to celebrate his birthday &#8211; immediately after their 3-0 derby defeat to Man City at Old Trafford.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He came off the bench in the following 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup, but was left out of the squad that beat Fulham on Saturday, due to an injury in training.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The United Stand is one of the biggest fan channels of the club with 1.77 million followers on YouTube.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ten Hag, over Rashford&#8217;s decision to go out after the loss to rivals Man City, said: &#8216;I spoke with him about it. It&#8217;s unacceptable. He apologised and that is it. For us it&#8217;s an internal matter.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Since that came to light Rashford has kept a low profile, as he didn&#8217;t go out with the players following their victory over Fulham at the weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He did however face criticism from football supporters on social media after a video went viral of him not acknowledging fans at the train station\u00a0as Manchester United players began their journey to London for the clash at Craven Cottage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/11\/77454903-12715411-image-a-12_1699271742780.jpg\" height=\"448\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Rashford has struggled for form this season with just one goal in 14 appearances to date\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite outside concerns over his form, Ten Hag told club channel MUTV that he is &#8216;sure that he will be back on track&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added:&#8217; I see him in training performing so well so I think that before long, he will be back on track.
