West Ham found themselves a goal down after just 11 minutes when Neal Maupay put the hosts ahead. But just eight minutes later parity was restored when Kudus acrobatically fired home Michail Antonio’s cross.

Kudus’ goal was his second in the league in just his second start, the Ghanian also netted in the midweek EFL Cup win against Arsenal. After being eased into the side by Moyes, Kudus is thoroughly excelling and West Ham are reaping the rewards for showing him patience.

Jarrod Bowen soon scored the Hammers’ second of the game to put them 2-1 up at first-half. But a second-half turnaround saw Brentford retake the lead via an own goal from Konstantinos Mavropanos and a third from Nathan Collins.
