A win would prove to be a vital three points for either side in the hunt for promotion to League Two.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the magnitude of the occasion on the latst episode of the docuseries, both Reynolds and McElhenney were filmed discussing Wrexham&#8217;s opponents and in particular the team&#8217;s star forward Langstaff.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Macaulay Langstaff, he can f*** off,&#8221; McElhenney was filmed saying, with Reynolds interjecting: &#8220;Yeah, god that guy is good. He&#8217;s handsome as f***. He looks like he could be in Peaky Blinders.&#8221; Taking issue with the co-owners comments, McElhenney simply replied: &#8220;bulls***.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/67\/590x\/secondary\/5044602.jpg?r=1698869106887\"><\/p>\n<p>Speaking later on in the episode, Reynolds expressed his nervousness ahead of the match. &#8220;I have never in my f***ing life been this wound up for a match,&#8221; he said. &#8220;What happened before with Halifax [who defeated Wrexham 3-1 prior to the game] created a sort of vortex, a vice grip of anxiety, a dread.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Hollywood actor&#8217;s nerves would be tested further during the game which saw Notts County gain the lead. It would also be the team&#8217;s first promotion back into League Two following a 15-year absense.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Dragons would earn 111 points, breaking a new record for the most points earned in a season, with Notts County finishing in second place with 107 points. Notts County were also awarded promotion at the end of the season and recently faced their rivals in both team&#8217;s last outing.<\/p>\n<p>The occasion saw Wrexham enjoy yet another win, with late goals from Elliot Lee and Ollie Palmer securing a 2-0 victory at Meadow Lane. The win sees the club sat third in the table and on the same number of points as their opponents who are narrowly ahead on goal difference.<\/p>\n<p>Wrexham has enjoyed success since being promoted having won eight, drawn six and lost just two games so far.
