Newcastle were hit with a double injury blow during their Champions League defeat to Borussia Dortmund.<\/p>\n
It was a painful night for Eddie Howe’s side at St James’ Park, as Felix Nmecha scored the only goal of the game in a huge win for the Bundesliga side.<\/p>\n
That wasn’t the only bad news of the night for the Magpies as both Alexander Isak and Jacob Murphy were forced off with injuries.<\/p>\n
Isak started the game but hobbled off after 15 minutes, and substitute Jacob Murphy was forced off just five minutes after he came on as a second-half replacement for Joelinton.<\/p>\n
Howe has confirmed that Murphy has suffered a dislocated shoulder while Isak has had a ‘reoccurring’ of a groin injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Murphy has suffered a dislocated shoulder while Isak suffered a ‘reoccurring’ of a previous groin injury in a massive double blow for the Magpies<\/p>\n

When asked about Isak after the game, he said: ‘That was a blow for us, and Jacob coming off as well which looks like a serious injury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n ‘We have a small squad as it is but with so many games to come that’s the big disappointment of the night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n ‘(Isak) looks a reoccurring of the groin injury and Jacob Murphy it looks more serious, a dislocation of his shoulder which isn’t a good thing.<\/span><\/p>\n Swedish international Isak went down after 15 minutes with the injury.
