{"id":296977,"date":"2023-10-24T10:24:10","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T10:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/?p=296977"},"modified":"2023-10-24T10:24:10","modified_gmt":"2023-10-24T10:24:10","slug":"sky-sports-are-forced-to-apologise-after-fan-shouts-nice-ae-leno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/soccer\/sky-sports-are-forced-to-apologise-after-fan-shouts-nice-ae-leno\/","title":{"rendered":"Sky Sports are forced to apologise after fan shouts &apos;nice a**e Leno&apos;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Sky Sports are forced to apologise after broadcasting a fan shouting &#8216;nice a**e Leno&#8217; at Fulham&#8217;s goalkeeper while he took a goal kick against Tottenham<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sky Sports were forced to apologise after the incident during Monday&#8217;s match\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Spurs secured a 2-0 win after goals from Son-Heung Min and James Maddison\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s podcast &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off!&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sky Sports were forced to apologise after a fan was caught on broadcast telling Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno that he has a &#8216;nice a**e&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred during Tottenham&#8217;s 2-0 win over Fulham on Monday night, where James Maddison and Son Heung-Min\u00a0struck to pick up three points for the hosts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ange Postecoglou&#8217;s side now sit top of the Premier League table after the win and can extend their lead to five points with a win at Crystal Palace on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, there was a moment in the match that those in attendance would&#8217;ve missed but, luckily, it was picked up Sky&#8217;s cameras.<\/p>\n<p>During the second-half, one supporter could be heard shouting at Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno &#8211; who also spent four years at rivals Arsenal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/24\/10\/76928951-12665475-image-a-1_1698139854482.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno was subjected to some bizarre chanting against Tottenham<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/24\/10\/76929055-12665475-image-a-3_1698139945438.jpg\" height=\"338\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>During the second-half, a fan could be heard telling the Fulham goalkeeper he has a &#8216;nice a**e&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>Microphones picked up the fan saying: &#8216;Nice a**e Leno!&#8217; while the goalkeeper prepared to take a goal-kick, which later went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Sky&#8217;s commentators quickly apologised for the comment, which was heard clearly during the broadcast.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One fan on X was quick to spot the incident and posted: &#8216;No way have Sky just had to apologise because a fan shouted &#8220;Nice a**e Leno&#8221;.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The incident also came prior to\u00a0Sky Sports apologising to James Maddison after a technical error during his post-match interview.<\/p>\n<p>As Maddison prepared to begin his interview with Sky&#8217;s Dave Jones, Jamie Carragher and Gary O&#8217;Neil, he quickly flagged that he could hear the interview of Marco Silva.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After a moment of looking rather perplexed, Carragher began laughing and asked the midfielder: &#8216;What&#8217;s he saying?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Jokingly, Maddison replied: &#8216;He was saying Maddison&#8217;s goal was excellent I think.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The response from the Tottenham playmaker sparked laughter amongst the live studio, before the issue was resolved and Maddison spoke on the win.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The former Leicester star scored Spurs&#8217; second of the game &#8211; after Son Heung-Min&#8217;s opener &#8211; to help wrap up the win for Ange Postecoglou&#8217;s side.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/24\/10\/76924503-12665475-image-a-2_1698139933952.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>James Maddison helped secure all three points for the hosts with his second-half strike<\/p>\n<p>During the same broadcast, Carragher lauded Maddison for being &#8216;influential&#8217; in Tottenham&#8217;s success so far this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>When pressed on that claim by Sky&#8217;s David Jones, he said:\u00a0&#8216;I think he&#8217;s been that influential in changing Spurs,&#8217; Carragher said to Sky Sports<\/span><span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;And the credit has to go to the manager [Postecoglou], it&#8217;s been his philosophy and his way of playing. But he&#8217;s [Maddison] has played a big part in changing that.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He&#8217;s come in and took the No 10 shirt, Harry Kane&#8217;s shirt. Possibly the greatest player to ever play for Tottenham.
