It means fans of four different football teams will descend on Athens this week.<\/p>\n<p>West Ham supporters are being warned that they can only get to Olympiacos\u2019 Karaiskakis Stadium via a compulsory coach convoy \u2013 complete with a police escort \u2013 meeting at the Panathenaic Stadium more than three hours before kick-off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/16\/76897097-12662447-image-a-19_1698074073180.jpg\" height=\"479\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>West Ham fans travelling to see David Moyes&#8217; side play Olympiacos this week will receive extra police protection<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/16\/76897101-12662447-image-a-20_1698074103123.jpg\" height=\"358\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Olympiacos&#8217; most recent game was abandoned after a player was reportedly hit by a firecracker<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/16\/76897099-12662447-image-a-21_1698074132118.jpg\" height=\"507\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>West Ham will be looking to bounce back from Sunday&#8217;s defeat at Aston Villa<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>Police in Athens say these protocols are in place for their own safety and that anyone who does not use the coaches will risk being turned away from the arena.<\/p>\n<p>Supporters are also set to be subjected to rigorous body searches and locked inside the away end for 30 minutes after the final whistle before being returned to the Panathenaic Stadium via their appointed transport.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, West Ham are also aware of the possibility of laser pointers being pointed at their players.
