    James Maddison has hailed Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, describing the magnetic Aussie as \u2018Alpha male\u2019.<\/p>\n

    To date Postecoglou, one win away from the best nine-game start by any Spurs boss, has been pure box office during his reign. The N17 faithful already adore the man from Down Under, whose dry, down-to-earth sense of humour is proving equally captivating for the wider football audience every week. <\/p>\n

    And it is no different inside the Tottenham dressing room, according to \u00a340million summer-signing Maddison. Indeed, the England midfielder admits everybody is tuned into every move and word the moment Postecoglou begins his unique team-talks to his unbeaten pacesetters. <\/p>\n

    Ahead of Fulham\u2019s visit tomorrow, Maddison explained: \u201cHe\u2019s a really good motivational speaker. He has this way about him when he talks to a group of players. He\u2019s almost like an Alpha male. When he\u2019s talking, everyone\u2019s listening. You can\u2019t even blink.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe team-talks he does normally the day before the game, or even the day of the game in the changing room, get you going, get you ready to go out and play. He\u2019s demanding of you.<\/p>\n

    \u201cAnd when he talks in the press conferences, you learn about life and stuff – that\u2019s the kind of guy he is. He uses real-life stuff to compare to football. It\u2019s hard to explain if you haven\u2019t heard one of his talks. He relates it back to life and family, and it just makes you want play for him, work for him, and run for him. He\u2019s got that.\u201d<\/p>\n

    So far so good in that respect with Maddison and Co sitting top of the table coming into the weekend, having taken 20 of 24 points available. That is the North Londoners\u2019 best return at this point of a campaign in six decades – and evidence Postecolgou does more than merely talk a good game.<\/p>\n

    Maddison, 26, added: \u201cHe\u2019s just brilliant to play for, he\u2019s a great man. I love the way he wants his teams to play. It suits me perfectly. He said that to me when we first spoke and how I\u2019d fit in to his system. I just saw it as a great match-up. Thankfully, we\u2019ve had some success early in the season in terms of results and need to keep that going.\u201c<\/p>\n

    If Postecoglou is the dominant voice of the pack off the pitch, then no question Hueng-min Son is Tottenham\u2019s new leader on it. Maddison reveals it is all-smiles with the South Korean skipper and has nothing but accolades for the kind-hearted, albeit utterly-ruthless hitman.<\/p>\n

    The ex-Leicester playmaker, with two goals and five assists, said: \u201cIt doesn\u2019t take much to put a smile on Sonny\u2019s face. He\u2019s someone you want to give a big hug to every time you see him.<\/p>\n

    \u201cLuckily, I get to do that every morning. He\u2019s warm to be around and a fantastic captain because he leads by example. I can\u2019t speak highly enough of Sonny. He\u2019s a great captain and a great friend.\u201d<\/p>\n
