Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick were made aware at half-time of their clast that Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton, 86, had passed away. <\/p>\n
Middlesbrough had welcomed Rooney's Birmingham City to the Riverside, when the news was announced during the break. An image of Charlton was projected on the big screen as both sets of fans chanted \u2018There\u2019s only one Bobby Charlton.\u2019<\/p>\n
Rooney and Carrick also paid tribute to the legend – with both spending lengthy periods at The Red Devils. The pair were seen applauding following the announcement of Charlton's death.<\/p>\n
