{"id":296419,"date":"2023-10-19T20:25:34","date_gmt":"2023-10-19T20:25:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/?p=296419"},"modified":"2023-10-19T20:25:34","modified_gmt":"2023-10-19T20:25:34","slug":"sean-dyche-insists-he-knows-what-he-needs-to-know-over-ffp-breaches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportstons.com\/soccer\/sean-dyche-insists-he-knows-what-he-needs-to-know-over-ffp-breaches\/","title":{"rendered":"Sean Dyche insists he &apos;knows what he needs to know&apos; over FFP breaches"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Everton manager Sean Dyche insists he &#8216;knows what he needs to know&#8217; about the club&#8217;s potential Financial Fair Play breaches and concerns over the suitability of US-based 777 Partners potential majority takeover<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><span>This week saw the start of an investigation into whether the club breached FFP<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>It comes ahead of the crucial Merseyside derby this weekend against Liverpool<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Click HERE to listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Everton manager Sean Dyche has insisted that he &#8216;knows what he needs to know&#8217; when it comes to the club&#8217;s off-field financial issues and is &#8216;comfortable&#8217; with his position.<\/p>\n<p>This week saw the start of an independent commission that is looking into whether the club breached Financial Fair Play regulations by posting financial losses of almost \u00a3372million over the previous three years when the limit is \u00a3105m.<\/p>\n<p>While a decision may not be made public until November, there are suggestions the club could face a fine or points deduction if found guilty.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, further concerns have been raised about the suitability of United States-based investment firm 777 Partners&#8217; suitability as prospective new owners after they agreed a deal to buy Farhad Moshiri&#8217;s 94.1 per cent stake.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times reported 777 had failed to supply information to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) about their bid, although a company spokesman insisted it had submitted all the relevant documentation at the time it was requested to do so.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/19\/19\/76768491-12650775-image-a-1_1697741586105.jpg\" height=\"413\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Sean Dyche told the media that &#8216;it is\u00a0often irrelevant what someone is saying from the outside&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>It is not the ideal build-up to a return to Premier League action with a Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield but Dyche said he had become well-accustomed to filtering the vast amount of information which is swirling around the club.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I know what I need to know and that&#8217;s enough for me,&#8217; said Dyche.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I don&#8217;t need to add in another level of someone&#8217;s opinion. I know what I know from inside, it is often irrelevant what someone is saying from the outside because I know what&#8217;s going on.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>On the independent hearing, Dyche added: &#8216;I&#8217;ve stepped into the middle of it but it&#8217;s certainly not something that involves me as manager, but sort of distantly does from the fact that I am manager.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I am sure there are people talking about lots of different things. I don&#8217;t know any more than that.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The 243rd Merseyside derby presents the ideal motivation for the team to pick up where they left off before the international break, when they registered their first home win of the season against Bournemouth.<\/p>\n<p>Dyche has experienced the fiery derby atmosphere once as Toffees boss &#8211; a 2-0 defeat in only his second match in charge &#8211; but has tasted success at the ground as Burnley manager,.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s a proper derby. This is the biggest one I know.
