According to reports, United chief executive Richard Arnold organised an all-staff meeting to thrash out any worries and concerns from members within the club. Arnold replied by encouraging anybody who witnesses such behaviour to report it to the club. He said: \u201cAny abusive, disrespectful or sexist language is not acceptable by anyone at this club. Arnold came under heavy criticism when the club were deliberating on whether to retain Greenwood or not. Manchester United supporter and former host of Countdown Rachel Riley lashed out at Arnold and suggested he should consider his position at the club. <\/p>\n
