with the ban to take effect immediately meaning he could return for their post-international break clash with Arsenal<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reece James will miss the clash with Burnley due to a one-match ban\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He might have missed the game anyway as he has been out with an injury\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Click HERE to listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reece James has received a one-match ban and fined \u00a390,000 after admitting to abusing a match official after Chelsea&#8217;s defeat to Aston Villa.<\/p>\n<p>The Blues captain, who was not part of the matchday squad as he has been out since the opening game of the season with an injury,\u00a0was reported for his behaviour towards referee Jarred Gillett.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on social media, the FA said: &#8216;<span>Reece James has been given a one-match suspension and \u00a390,000 fine for breaching FA Rule E3 at Chelsea\u2019s Premier League match against Aston Villa on Sunday September 24.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The defender admitted that he used improper, insulting and\/or abusive words and behaviour towards<span>\u00a0a match official in the tunnel after the final whistle.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The ban will be effective immediately, meaning that he misses their clash with Burnley this weekend &#8211; one he might have missed anyway, as he recovers from a hamstring injury.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/04\/15\/76163705-12593659-image-a-1_1696430629035.jpg\" height=\"429\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Reece James has been handed to a one-match ban after admitting to using &#8216;insulting and\/or abusive words and behaviour&#8217;
