Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has offered an update on the status of Declan Rice after he was subbed off during the north London derby on Sunday. <\/p>\n
Arteta revealed after the game that Rice was taken off due to feeling "some discomfort in his back". But the Spaniard added he was hopeful his time away from the pitch wouldn't be too long.<\/p>\n
However, Arteta didn't sound as confident when speaking ahead of Arsenal's Carabao Cup clash with Brentford. He said: "He hasn\u2019t trained yet. <\/p>\n

He added: "He was limping quite badly after the match.<\/span><\/p>\n "We had to get him off the field. He hasn\u2019t been able to participate in the session. It\u2019s a possibility [he could miss Bournemouth]."<\/p>\n
