Reported Chelsea transfer target Ivan Toney has returned to Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium to watch their clash with Everton.

Toney, 27, was able to get back in training with his Bees team-mates this week after getting past the halfway point of his eight-month betting ban last weekend. He won't be able to play in the Premier League for another four months until January 17.

But he offered his support as Thomas Frank's side hosted Sean Dyche's Toffees in the late kick-off on Saturday (September 23) – hours after talkSPORT claimed there's confidence from Stamford Bridge that he'll be heading there in the winter window.

Chelsea are said to be keen to get the jump on their rivals with Toney set to be a man in demand. He's also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool having scored 20 top-flight goals in 33 games last season before pleading guilty to 232 breaches of the FA's gambling rules.

According to the report, Mauricio Pochettino is leading the charge to sign him to give his starting XI some much-needed firepower. The Blues have scored just five goals in their first five league games of the season.

Brentford boss Frank previously admitted they'll have to cash in on Toney if the price is right – with their price tag reportedly set at £60million.

"I think every club in the world are a selling club except five or six clubs. We are a selling club, if the right price is there," he said.

"If they have developed with us, been on the journey and now they’re proven good enough to go to the top clubs, then I think it’s the right thing, if it’s the right price. I understand why there are a lot of rumours out there about him."
