Erik ten Hag insists Manchester United have to stick together if they are to get out of the hole they’ve dug for themselves.

United face a growing crisis following three straight defeats in all competition, with their most recent loss coming in the Champions League against a Harry Kane-led Bayern Munich. Ten Hag and co lost 4-3 at the Allianz Arena, in a result that on paper, at least, does not look too bad.

However, the reality of the situation is that United were well beaten in Germany, with a late brace from Casemiro putting some gloss on their third defeat in a row. This weekend, Ten Hag's side return to domestic action againstn Burnley, having lost their last Premier League game 3-1 to Brighton & Hove Albion.

After a strong season last term, which saw United win the Carabao Cup and qualify for the Champions League, Ten Hag is feeling the pressure ahead of their clash against Vincent Kompany's Clarets. Following their promotion from the Championship last term, Burnley have yet to win this season in the Premier League, and currently sit 19th in the table with only Luton Town below them.

Additionally, there have also been reports of a dressing room split within the Man United camp. And while the 53-year-old has denied there is a problem between his players, he has admitted his side have work to do to start winning games.

Where will Manchester United finish this season? Let us know in the comments section below.

Ten Hag said: "At United, you have to win every game, so it doesn't change anything. I don't know if it's a leak (in the dressing room), but I know opinion, I know my players. Everyone can make suggestions, but we are okay with it.

He added: "You get stronger from it, as long as you stay together. That’s what we're doing. “All the staff, coaches, medical people, everyone is united – and at United you fight."

This season has seen United experience a new crisis during almost every week of their 2023/24 campaign, the most recent of which has seen the club having to banish winger Jadon Sancho from the first-team. United are reportedly now open to letting Sancho go for a cut-rate price in January.

They also provoked widespread criticism after attempting to bring forward Mason Greenwood, who has since gone on loan to Getafe in La Liga. He made his debut for his new side last weekend.
