Erik ten Hag admits Manchester United need to defend better and stop collapsing like \u2018a pack of cards\u2019.<\/p>\n
United\u2019s 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek means that Ten Hag\u2019s side have shipped 14 goals in their last five games.<\/p>\n
There was criticism of the effort put in by some players tracking back at the Allianz Arena, with Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay among those singled out.<\/p>\n
Stuart Pearce commented on talkSPORT that Rashford was running like he \u2018had a fridge on his back\u2019 while fans on social media highlighted how McTominay was outpaced by the referee.<\/p>\n
Ten Hag insisted United must defend better as a team, saying: \u2018It’s about 11 players who do their job. I said many times here in this place, I always tell my players we attack with 11 and defend with 11.<\/p>\n

Andre Onana took responsibility for the defeat in Munich after he spilled Leroy Sane\u2019s shot for Bayern\u2019s crucial first goal.<\/p>\n
But Ten Hag added: \u2018It’s about team and as a team, we don’t have the results in this moment. So also individuals don’t bring the performance and you expect not only one player, you include the manager.\u2019<\/p>\n
