Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is reportedly set to face a psychiatric report following several examples of anti-social behaviour.

Lehmann is a legend in north London having made 200 appearances for the club and he was part of their title-winning Invincibles team in 2003-04, while he also won 61 caps for Germany.

Since retiring, he has held coaching roles with the Gunners and Augsburg and was briefly on the board at Hertha Berlin.

However, according to German outlet BILD, Lehmann has been involved in an increasing number of unsavoury actions in recent years that will see him summoned by a German court to face a psychiatric report for an anti-social personality disorder.

Criminal defense attorney Dr Adam Ahmed said: ‘A court sees the need to obtain a psychiatric report and orders it in order to check guilt.

Jens Lehmann will face a psychiatric report after several examples of anti-social behaviour

The former Arsenal keeper has been accused of attacking his neighbour’s garage with a chainsaw and dodging parking fees by speeding under a barrier

‘These actions (of Lehmann) suggest a suspected diagnosis of anti-social personality disorder, in which the affected person has little empathy for others and often disregards rules and norms.’

The report states that in June, several charges were brought against Lehmann by the Munich II public prosecutor’s office, which included damage to property.

Lehmann reportedly damaged the roof beam on his neighbour’s garage with a chainsaw in July last year because it supposedly blocked his view of Lake Starnberg in Bavaria.

The police claimed the 53-year-old was caught causing the damage on a surveillance camera.

And now, the public prosecutor has listed further allegations against Lehmann.

The report goes onto state how the former goalkeeper – who earned millions during his career – has been dodging parking fees by speeding under a barrier at Munich Airport.

On two occasions, once in January 2021 and again in September 2022, Lehmann drove out of the parking garage without paying despite the cost being less than €300 (£260).

Lehmann is said to have followed another vehicle and scurried through before the barrier came down.

During the January 2021 incident, Lehmann is alleged to have parked his Porsche hybrid for two days and charged it at an electric pump.

Lehmann faced a cost of €159 (£137) for parking and €32 (£27) for charging but sped away, despite insisting to employees he would pay.

This led to an email from the airport which asked the former German star to reimburse the costs, but he claimed to have never received the email.

This happened again in September 2022 when the combined cost of charging and parking for two days was €128 (£111), but Lehmann was caught by cameras escaping through the barriers without paying.

He is also alleged to have insulted police officers when they attempted to confiscate his driving licence on a separate occasion after he was caught using his phone while driving and received a one-month ban.

The report alleges they came to his house but Lehmann told a police officer she had ‘a malfunction in her brain’ and called those present liars.

The 53-year-old also denied allegations of insult and fraud but he could be facing a trial

Similarly, the 53-year-old has also been charged with insult and fraud, allegations he denied, as he said on social media: ‘The allegations made against me are not true. The damage, as always, is the enormous damage to reputation and disregard for privacy.’

If all of the allegations go to trial, Lehmann could be weighed down by his criminal record, with a suspended sentence a possibility if he is found guilty.

This is because back in 2016, he was fined more than €40,000 (£34,700) for aiding and abetting an escape from an accident, while he was also reportedly fined €170,000 (£147,506) for tax evasion in 2017.

However, the next steps are unknown with a spokesperson for a district court in Bavaria insisting a decision is yet to be made on whether Lehmann will face a trial.
