Crystal Palace have confirmed Roy Hodgson will be back in the dugout for this weekend’s Premier League match against Fulham after missing their previous game against Aston Villa.<\/p>\n
Hodgson was absent from Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Villa Park after being taken unwell earlier in the day but has now recovered to take training with the first-team.<\/p>\n
The 76-year-old agreed to stay on as Palace boss for the season after previously guiding the club to Premier League safety last year having taken charge at a time when the team were flirting with relegation.<\/p>\n
Hodgson previously felt unwell during the time between breakfast and Palace’s pre-match build-up to the Villa game, sparking concerns from supporters, however the former England manager looked in good form during training on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Palace released a short statement alongside a photo of Hodgson that confirmed he was back to full health, stating: ‘News you love to hear.<\/p>\n

Hodgson will be back in the dugout for Crystal Palace’s Premier League clash against Fulham at the weekend<\/p>\n
‘We are delighted to confirm that Roy led training today and will be back in the dugout for Saturday’s fixture against Fulham.’<\/p>\n
The London club have made a mixed start to the new season, winning two games and currently sit ninth in the Premier League standings ahead of Manchester United, Fulham and Newcastle.<\/p>\n

Assistant manager Paddy McCarthy oversaw their recent defeat against Aston Villa after Hodgson was taken unwell<\/p>\n
Hodgson’s assistant manager Paddy McCarthy previously confirmed the Palace boss was feeling better, stating:\u00a0\u2018He is feeling better and we are hopeful he will continue to feel better and be back with us sooner rather than later.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘We had contact with him before the game and we will speak to him now after the game as well.’<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Palace are set to be without star forward Michael Olise for a significant period of time after he reaggravated an existing hamstring injury.<\/p>\n
The France Under 21 international has been out of action since June and is now expected to be unavailable until after the October international break.\u00a0<\/p>\n
