We are not going to make any decisions on his immediate or long-term future at the moment.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The St Leger was only the fourth race of the season for Desert Hero and the seventh of his career.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Marquand\u2019s mount has improved with every start and races that have been mentioned by Haggas as potential targets in 2024 include the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot in June and the King George VI &amp; Queen Elizabeth Stakes back at the track the following month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/17\/19\/75533383-0-image-a-31_1694976340182.jpg\" height=\"448\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Royal colt Desert Hero could still have an opportunity for glory at the Melbourne Cup<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/17\/19\/75533423-0-image-a-32_1694976439656.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Trainer William Haggas said he is excited for the future, with Desert Hero in good form<\/p>\n<p>The trainer added: \u2018If you take a line through Chesspiece, he beat him a neck (in the Group Three Gordon Stakes) at Goodwood and beat him comprehensively on Saturday.
