But be easy with the racism and family threats. Think before you type.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The Blades responded on Sunday morning offering support for their keeper and promising to investigate.<\/p>\n<p>A statement read: &#8216;Sheffield United condemn the racist, abusive and threatening messages that have been sent to Wes Foderingham after yesterday&#8217;s game against Spurs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The club will now work with relevant bodies to investigate and support Wes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/17\/21\/75534663-0-image-a-24_1694981695804.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Sheffield United have condemned racist abuse and threats aimed towards goalkeeper Wes Foderingham following their last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Tottenham on Saturday afternoon<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/17\/23\/75534659-12529183-Foderingham_took_to_social_media_to_hit_out_at_those_individuals-a-44_1694990965867.jpg\" height=\"560\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Foderingham took to social media to hit out at those individuals who had sent abuse to him<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There is no room for racism in our game.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Tottenham also responded with a statement of their own offering to assist Sheffield United with their investigation and ban any Spurs fans found to be responsible for the abuse.<\/p>\n<p>The Spurs statement read: &#8216;We are disgusted to hear of racist, abusive and threatening messages sent to Wes Foderingham following yesterday&#8217;s match.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The club stands firmly against all forms of discrimination and will cooperate fully with Sheffield United and the relevant bodies in their investigations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We shall not hesitate in taking the strongest possible action, including club bans, against any so-called fan found responsible.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Paul Heckingbottom&#8217;s side were 1-0 up heading into the closing stages at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to a Gus Hamer opener.<\/p>\n<p>But late goals from Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski turned the game around and the Blades are still winless from their opening five fixtures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/17\/21\/75534881-12529183-image-a-38_1694982437745.jpg\" height=\"433\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Spurs also condemned the abuse and said they would &#8216;take the strongest possible action&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sport\/football\/article-12529183\/Wes-Foderingham-Sheffield-United-Tottenham-Blades.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sheffield United and Tottenham condemn the racial abuse Blades keeper Wes Foderingham received after their last-gasp defeat to Spurs&#8230;
