Arsenal Women have failed to qualify for the Champions League following a shock defeat on penalties to Paris FC.<\/p>\n
Although Arsenal made it through to the semi-finals last season, they won’t be involved in this season’s competition after losing in Sweden.<\/p>\n
Following a goalless first half, Paris took the lead through a header from\u00a0Mathilde Bourdieu, who added another goal shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper\u00a0Manuela Zinsberger was left dejected following Arsenal Women’s loss to Paris FC<\/p>\n

Jen Beattie scored to send the game to extra-time but Arsenal ended up losing on penalties<\/p>\n

Recent signing Alessia Russo scored twice for Arsenal but then missed in the shoot-out<\/p>\n

Substitute Jen Beattie then scored a header to send the game to extra-time.<\/p>\n
Daphne Corboz put Paris ahead in extra-time, with Russo then netting again in impressive fashion to send the game to penalties.<\/p>\n
In the shootout, Russo and Frida Maanum both missed for Arsenal.\u00a0Daphne Corboz was unable to net for Paris but\u00a0Louna Ribadeira scored the winning spot-kick.\u00a0<\/p>\n
