Roy Keane reportedly wound up Arsenal fans on Sunday before being targeted by an alleged headbutt at the Emirates Stadium. A video circulating on social media showed the aftermath of the incident, which saw former Premier League star Micah Richards jump in to try and diffuse the situation.

Keane and Richards were both on Sky Sports punditry duties for Arsenal’s win over Manchester United. Before the Gunners’ two late goals, a finish from Alejandro Garnacho looked to have won the game for the Red Devils, supposedly sparking celebrations from Keane before the goal was ruled out for offside.

An Arsenal fan is then reported to have aimed a headbutt at the former Republic of Ireland international. The impact hit Keane in the shoulder, breaking the supporter’s nose which left blood all over the floor, according to eyewitnesses.

Richards jumped in to separate the pair, as Keane was left unhurt but ‘shaken’. The fan was arrested before being bailed on Monday evening.
