Mason Greenwood has spoken on camera for the first time since his loan move to Getafe.

The Manchester United exile, 21, joined the La Liga club in a deal until the end of the season on Transfer Deadline Day after his boyhood club announced he wouldn't play for them again last month.

He travelled to Spain over the weekend and visited their training ground for the first time on Monday (September 4), posing for pictures in his new kit.

Greenwood also recorded a video that was shared on social media. "Hi Getafe fans, it's Mason here. I'm so happy to be here and I can't wait to get started," he said, before putting his thumb up to the camera.

Everyone knows what happened and the appropriate measures were taken, obviously, we can only talk about football.

“Regarding the other issues, I believe that the people and the relevant authorities did what they had to do and everyone knows how it ended with a non-conviction sentence therefore he is a free person, a footballer of a very high level and who arrives at Getafe with enormous enthusiasm and that we are obviously going to help him so that he recovers back to his best level.”

Reports emerging in recent days have claimed Greenwood will be living in an £8,000-a-month villa which United will be footing the bill for, and that there's a break clause in his loan which means Getafe can cut it short in January if they don't feel it's working out.
