Tottenham defender Djed Spence is set for a return to the Championship as he closes in on a love move to Leeds United.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The\u00a023-year-old has struggled for game time in north London after his exceptional 2021-22 campaign prompted Spurs and then-manager Antonio Conte to shell out \u00a320m\u00a0to secure his services.<\/p>\n
However, in his debut season Spence made just six appearances and spent the second half of the campaign on loan in Ligue 1 with Rennes, where he endured a similarly disappointing spell.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A return to the second-tier with Daniel Farke’s side could see the attacking full-back enjoy a return to form.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While Leeds\u00a0are keen to bolster their options at full-back following their relegation from the Premier League, despite keeping hold of Junior Firpo and Luke Ayling and adding former Norwich star Sam Byram on a free transfer this summer.<\/p>\n

Farke’s side edged out an enthralling 4-3 draw away at Ipswich last weekend and take on bottom-of-the-league Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
