UFC 260 Ngannou vs Miocic: Aussie gets sweetest victory with jaw-dropping knockout

Khama Worthy was left to ask Aussie fighter Jamie Mullarkey what had happened after an insanely sweet knockout punch.

Mullarkey got his first win in the UFC in Sunday’s UFC 260 main event card when he destroyed Worthy with a 46-second knockout result.

Mullarkey set up the finish perfectly and Worthy was left wide open to a savage left hook that landed flush on the chin.

Mullarkey barely needed to touch Worthy after he had crumbled to the ground before the referee rushed in to stop the contest.

Mullarkey’s left hand saw Worthy stutter on his feet and his eyes roll backwards before he fell to the side.

Mullarkey was pumped after the stoppage.
So he should have been – the statement knockout has put his name in lights on the global MMA stage.

His punch had commentators Daniel Cormier and Joe Rogan taking deep breaths during the live broadcast.

Cormier described Mullarkey’s finish as “one perfectly placed punch”.

“He doesn’t know what happened,” Cormier said of Worthy.

“He’s asking his opponent what happened.”

John Annik said it was a “monumental knockout”.

Mullarkey, from the NSW Central Coast, gave a shout out to training partner Alexander Volkanovski after stepping out of the Octagon.

But the world just wanted to know about that statement punch.

“It feels unbelievable,” he said.

“I saw his eye wobble and I saw him go down slowly. That was it.”
