Tom Aspinall to ‘do a Bisping’ against UFC knockout king on two weeks notice
Tom Aspinall is ready to do a Michael Bisping by winning a UFC title on just two weeks notice at UFC 295.
The Brit heavyweight contender (13-3) has agreed to fight Russian KO king Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event on November 11 after Jon Jones was forced to withdraw from the defence of his heavyweight strap against Stipe Miocic due to injury.
Aspinall, who has called Pavlovich (18-1) the most dangerous man in the promotion following a run of six straight first-round knockouts, has pal Bisping to use as inspiration.

After a run of three consecutive wins in the middleweight division across 2015 and 2016, Bisping took on a title bout against Luke Rockhold and stunned the world to win in the first round with two weeks to prepare.
He remained the only Brit champion in the history of the promotion until Leon Edwards knocked out Kamaru Usman last year, with Aspinall since growing close with the hall of famer and commentator.
Speaking on social media after Dana White's announcement, the 30-year-old said: "Morning everybody, yes in fact the rumours are true. I am fighting Sergei Pavlovich in two weeks time and obviously my phone is going absolutely insane right now.

"I'm going to be staying off social media, quite frankly I have two weeks to train for this s*** and I'm going to get myself as ready as possible."
Speaking in a chat with TheMacLife, Aspinall said after stating that Pavlovich is the most dangerous man in the UFC: "I'm willing to put it all on the line. This is my absolute dream and I’m f***ing doing a Bisping."
Aspinall has 17 days to get his preparations in order before the Madison Square Garden showdown with Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira fighting for the light-heavyweight strap in the main event.

Bisping had the exact same amount of days to prepare for Rockhold, going on to write his name into the history books.
Although Aspinall is not fighting for the full belt but the interim, a win would guarantee a title shot on Jones' return to fitness – potentially after a rearranged fight against Miocic.
UFC president White had said: "Jon Jones was training last night, got injured, he was wrestling and he tore the tendon that connects your pec to the bone, off the bone. [Out] eight months, going to need surgery. He's out."
