Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic’s net worth vs world’s richest tennis player
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are two of the greatest players to ever set foot on a tennis court – but their net worth pales in comparison to American star Jessica Pegula. While Pegula is yet to advance beyond a major quarter-final, her family wealth immensely boosts her net worth to stratospheric heights.
As a 24-time Grand Slam champion, no man has ever won more major titles than Djokovic. Thanks to his stellar play on the court, Djokovic has earned over $170 million (£133m) in prize money and his net worth is significantly boosted by his army of lucrative endorsement deals.
The Serb is the face of Asics and Lacoste, while he also has deals with Head, Hublot, Lemero, NetJets, Peugeot, Raiffeisen Bank International, and Ultimate Software Group. It leaves Djokovic with a net worth of $220 million (£172m), the same as his rival Nadal.
The Spanish star – affectionately dubbed the ‘King of Clay’ thanks to his 14 French Open titles – has won many awards, including the Sportsmanship Award and five ATP Player of the Year awards amid a long-standing rivalry with Djokovic.
He was also named ITF World Champion five times and won the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year twice. Nadal has sponsorship deals with Kia Motors, which has sponsored him since 2006, as well as Nike which tailor specific clothing for the 37-year-old.
As well as endorsements with Lanvin colognes, Quely, Emporio Armani, and PokerStars, Nadal has earned $135 million (£105m) in prize winnings from his on-court performances. It leaves him with a net worth of $220 million (£172) alongside Djokovic, yet neither sporting icon can compare to Pegula.
With an estimated net worth of $6.7 billion (£5.8bn), Pegula is the richest tennis player in the world. The 28-year-old hails from Buffalo, New York, and is the daughter of Terry Pegula, the world’s 377th richest person.

Terry made a fortune in oil and gas and turned it into a multi-million-dollar sports empire. He is the owner of Pegula Sports and Entertainment, which boasts the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres and, alongside his wife Kim, the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.
The Sabres are valued at $900 million (£705m), while the Bills are valued at $3.7 billion (£2.9bn). This means Pegula stands alone at the top of the tennis rankings when it comes to net worth, alongside her $12 million (£9.4m) in prize money.
