With the start of a new month, we tick ever-closer to the reopening of the transfer window, as a slew of top-flight clubs look to gain the edge of their rivals in the second-half of the season.

Manchester United look the most likely for a winter refresh after an uneven campaign thus far, and the promise of the incoming riches from stakeholder-in-waiting Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Whilst their transfer list may be informed by their desire to promote British talent in the squad in a throwback to Sir Alex Ferguson’s glory years, the club hasn’t snuffed out interest in an array of dazzling international talents.

But as ever, the Red Devils could find their plans stymied by the financial might of Premier League rivals including crosstown rivals Manchester City, and Chelsea.
