Thomas Tuchel says Chelsea want to use Saturday’s clash with Fulham to ‘set the tone’ for their all-or-nothing Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid.
Tuchel insisted on Friday that his players will not hold back on Saturday just because this Premier League game is sandwiched between two legs in Europe’s elite competition.
That is bad news for Fulham, who may have hoped Chelsea’s focus on Real would have aided them.

Chelsea can cement their position in the top four on Saturday with a win lifting them six points clear of fifth-placed West Ham.
‘Just to be strong in the last game will not help you in the next game,’ said Tuchel. ‘This is what I’m very excited and happy about with the team.
‘They are always ready. Even now where you could think, “Are they not distracted?” or, “Are they holding back a bit between two semi-finals?” They are not. It’s the opposite. They step up.
‘They come in in a good mood. Everybody had a very good training session yesterday and today at a high level.
‘That is what it is about. We have to set the tone again and prove again we are hard to play against.’
