Manchester City will be hoping to reach the halfway mark of the Champions League by sitting top of Group F when they travel to Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Premier League leaders left it late in Europe last time out when they won at Hoffenheim and head into the match in good form having dismantled Burnley 5-0 at the weekend.

Also in action are Real Madrid, who without a win in five matches stretching back over a month, host minnows Viktoria Plzen with manager Julen Lopetegui under pressure to improve his side’s woeful form.
