Rodrigo de Paul’s agent has confirmed they are “evaluating some options” after the player expressed his desire to join Leeds on social media.
Marcelo Bielsa has already strengthened his squad with four new additions this summer, forking out £60million on Rodrigo, Helder Costa, Robin Koch and Illan Meslier.
Yet reports suggest the Argentine is not finished there, as he is now targeting a move for compatriot De Paul.
And the Udinese star, who is known for scoring goals from midfield, recently confirmed he is looking to join Leeds this summer in a now-deleted post on Twitter.
When Leeds fanzine The Square Ball suggested he is waiting for Leeds and Udinese to reach an agreement, De Paul replied saying: “Yes” along with a fingers crossed emoji.
But while he has since deleted the post, the 26-year-old’s agent has confirmed they are weighing up their options in the summer transfer window.
When asked about Leeds’ interest in his client, Leandro Pereiro told Inside Futbol: “We are evaluating some options.”
The newly-promoted Premier League club could face competition from Roma, who are also understood to be eyeing up a move for De Paul.
However, Pereiro believes the Italian side will only try to sign him if they offload a midfielder first.
When asked about Roma’s interest, the agent said: “We [will] have to see if they can release a midfielder.”
Udinese are said to be demanding £37million for De Paul, which would make him the most expensive signing in Leeds’ history.
The Whites only broke their record transfer fee earlier this summer to sign Rodrigo, who joined in a £27million switch from Valencia.

Zenit are understood to be the only club prepared to meet Udinese’s valuation in full, but De Paul is not open to the idea of playing in Russia.
The Argentina international has made 146 appearances for Udinese since joining from Racing in 2016, scoring 25 goals.
