Real Madrid star Sergio Reguilon would ‘love’ to join Manchester United this transfer window, it has been claimed. The Spain international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford. But Tottenham and Sevilla have also been linked with the left-back.
When it comes to left-backs, Manchester United are well-stocked at present.
Luke Shaw is primed to be a regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer next season after improving considerably since Jose Mourinho’s departure.
United have Brandon Williams at their disposal, too, with the Red Devils youngster regarded as one of the most-promising players currently at the club.
And Tim Fosu-Mensah, Ethan Laird and Diogo Dalot are all capable of playing there as well.
Despite that, United have been heavily linked with a move for Reguilon amid uncertainty over his Real Madrid future.
And journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed the Spaniard, who sparkled during a loan spell with Sevilla last season, is keen to move to Old Trafford having fallen behind Ferland Mendy and Marcelo in the pecking order.

“Sevilla are in advanced talks to sign Marcos Acuña from Sporting – as per @abolap. Deal to be done soon,” he tweeted.
“No more chances to come back for Sergio Reguilon… he’d love to join Manchester United this summer. #MUFC considering him as an option but won’t pay €30m.”
Reguilon isn’t the only player on United’s radar at the current time, with Jadon Sancho still very much their priority.
The Red Devils have made progress on agent fees regarding a deal for the 20-year-old but still have to negotiate a fee with Borussia Dortmund, who want £108million to let their prized asset go.

Solskjaer recently opened up on potential business, saying: “I never set myself a target, like scoring 20 goals as a player.
“You just have to go day by day, making sure you develop and improve.
“We have a vision of where we want to get to but know so many things can come in the way. I believe in seeing how the team and club develops.
“We are a developing team, a year or so into our rebuild. We had to make some decisions last summer and throughout the season we have seen how this team is getting better and getting used to each other.”

He then added: “We are looking forward to it but it has come around so quickly from last season.
“The preparation is very different to what we normally have and we have to take our Europa League games as pre-season.
“I’d rather be an optimist and be wrong than be a pessimist and be right. I did think we would qualify for the Champions League but I was hoping for a trophy along the way as well.
“It is never easy to have too many new players in the team, it takes time for players to gel into a unit.
