Nathan Jones is emerging as a leading contender to become the next manager of Millwall.
The 50-year old is ready to return to management nine months after being sacked by Southampton where he achieved just one win in eight Premier League games.
Millwall have been considering a number of candidates, including Kevin Muscat, but Jones’s track record of earning promotion from the Championship has put him in a strong position.
Former Birmingham City manager John Eustace was another in the frame but he is a leading candidate to replace Nigel Pearson at Bristol City.
Eustace was sacked by Birmingham and replaced by Wayne Rooney.
