Jose Mourinho has ruled out letting Harry Winks quit Tottenham this month – but opened the door to Gedson Fernandes leaving.
Spanish side Valencia are interested in taking England midfielder Winks on loan but Mourinho insisted that is impossible.
And in a sly dig, he even insisted the player’s agent would be wasting his time talking to other potentially interested clubs.
Mourinho said: “What do I have to say to stop with this talk? I told already. He’s going nowhere. What more do you want me to say?
“He played the last matches. He didn’t play one when it was a decision to play with other players who are not basically playing many minutes.
“Tomorrow he is selected again. And if somebody is speaking with other clubs, my advice is – don’t lose your time. Don’t lose your time because he is going nowhere.”
Winks has featured in Tottenham’s last three Premier League games but was not in the squad for the FA Cup win over Marine.
Mourinho instead gave Fernandes a rare start – but the Spurs boss admits his loan move from Benfica could still be cancelled this month due to a lack of playing time.

He said: “If he stays, I am happy. He is a good player. When we need him, we have some quality quickly coming from him.
“I would like him to stay but we are not selfish and we also think about the player and the father club.”
The 22-year-old has not played in the Premier League this season, and Spurs currently have no plans to activate the £40m option to make his loan move permanent.
